Your Next Adventure Awaits
The Public Affairs Specialist is responsible for supporting the Manager of Public Affairs’ efforts to develop communications material for internal and external audiences that are designed to increase visibility and enhance awareness of the RTAA. As part of our award-winning Marketing and Public Affairs team, the Public Affairs Specialist who is hired into this position will have broad responsibilities when it comes to providing high quality, timely, and relevant information to internal and external stakeholders of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority.
Whether you’re providing information, education, or inspiration, your voice will have a far-reaching impact for the organization as well as the Reno-Tahoe region. From internal, intranet-based articles, to employee emails, press releases, website content, social soundbites and newsletters, you will have the opportunity to provide communication in different formats and across many different platforms.
Plus, it’s just really FUN. There’s always something new and exciting happening at the RTAA, especially in the midst of MoreRNO, the largest infrastructure program in our airport’s history. After you put that long-form website article to bed, you roll up your sleeves and plan a press conference, or update The Hub (our intranet) with photos from our last Town Hall meeting, or create a PowerPoint presentation for one of our Chiefs who is headed to an important conference, or find yourself on the news as the backup Public Information Officer. In short, it’s busy, it’s important, and it makes a difference to people in many different ways.
